Ordering

You can order in one of 5 ways:

Postage and packing must be added for all methods of ordering, except of course visiting our shop in person. For customers based in the UK, the correct postage rate will be automatically added if you order via secure online purchase - for all other methods you must add the correct postage from the postage details shown below. These also give instructions for customers outside the UK.

If you buy online, by telephone or by post, please note: As many of our products are rare or one-off items, it is possible that a customer in our shop on Nuneaton Station may buy-out all our stock of an item at the same time that you have ordered it. In this case we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you; we will also tell you when we are expecting further stock, or if the item is so rare that we can not order it from a supplier then we will either suggest a possible alternative or offer to cancel your order. If your order is cancelled all of the details you supplied in your order are destroyed.

Methods of Payment

Here's a table which summarises your payment options for each method of ordering:

  CARD CHEQUE CASH
by Secure Online Order X
by Telephone X X
by Fax X X
by Post   X
In Person X X X

Your credit card will not be debited until the goods are ready for despatch.

If you order by phone or fax and wish to pay by cheque, then you must send us your cheque by post on the same day that you place your order. Be sure to include your name, address, telephone number and email address (if you have one) with the cheque. Goods will not be despatched until your cheque has cleared.

Methods of Ordering

1. Secure Online Ordering.

Enter our online catalogue and browse for the products you are interested in. When you find a product that you want to buy, click on its "Add to Basket" button - this will place the item in your online shopping basket. You can then continue browsing our catalogue and add further items to your basket in the same way. A message near the top of the screen shows you how many items are in your basket and the current net cost of the items.

You can view the current contents of your basket whenever you wish by clicking the "View Cart" link near the top of the page - this will show the current total of your basket including postage & packing. When you have added all of the items you want to buy to your basket, you then click on a "Check Out" link. This takes you to the "Check Out" page which shows the contents of your basket and a form which you must fill-in - this is a secure page which is protected by SSL encryption technology, so any information you type into the form including your credit card details will be encrypted before it is sent to us. (For more details about secure pages and encryption, see our security page.) Complete the form with your name, address, credit card details, your telephone number and email address. We need the latter so that we can contact you if there are any problems with your order - we do not pass on these details to any third party. At present, online purchases can only be made by credit card.

When you have completed the form press the "Verify" button. This sends the form to our server where it is checked to make sure that all of the required information is present - if any details are missing a message will appear in the browser window and you should then click the "Make Changes" button which will allow you to correct the form contents and then click the "Verify" button again.

You will then be shown a summary of your order and the name and address details you entered for final checking. You should read the summary and if you are satisfied that the details are correct press the "Submit Order for Processing" button.

Your order details are then sent in encrypted form back to us for processing, and a confirmatory email is sent to the email address which you supplied on the online order form.

At this point a contract of sale has not yet been made (it is an "offer" to buy). We first need to check your order details to make sure that they are correct and that your credit card is accepted.

The amount of shipping shown for online orders applies for customers in the UK only. If you are based outside the UK you can still make online purchases, but be aware that the total shipping will be more than that displayed on screen and sent in the confirmatory email. We will send you a further email message which details the correct shipping charge (and the revised total amount due) for your order. You should then send us an email to tell us to go ahead with your order - your order will not be processed until we receive this email from you.

As many of our products are rare or one-off items, it is possible that a customer in our shop on Nuneaton Station may buy-out all our stock of an item at the same time that you have requested it from the online shop. In this case we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you; we will also tell you when we are expecting further stock, or if the item is so rare that we can not order it from a supplier then we will either suggest a possible alternative or offer to cancel your order. If your order is cancelled all of the details you supplied on the online order form are deleted from our system.
