The latest news is that the long awaited SOS QL model is now almost complete. Thanks go to everyone for being so patient. We hope to get closer to our target production now after appointing new builders to our Midland Red Collection of models. The finish on the QL is quite superb and complimentary to the rest of the range. A couple of pre-production samples have arrived and been painted as you can see. We are now sending out Invoices to customers who have ordered ready built models. The model is now virtually sold out - if you're interested in further details check out our Prices and How to Order pages for the rest of the range.
Our next model to be produced in this range is the BMMO S6, the first post war production vehicle of which 100 were made. The masters for this model are now at an advanced stage and will shortly be presented for approval before final detailing. There are a small number of Kits left unallocated. The D9 is now in issued. Pre-production samples are shown in this display photograph. This fine model captures everything but the smell of this fine example of BMMO production - probably the best example of post-war design. Following the excellent reception of the first of our Midland Red models the CM6T, the second model in our Midland Red Collection, the SOS 'ON' arrived. We are sure you'll agree that the magic of the SOS styling has been captured by our model makers. The pre-production vehicles shown here were photographed by Colin Browell on the Wheels "Midland Red" model display, which was made by Barry Johnson and Ashley Wakelin.

At the time these photos were taken, we were awaiting delivery of the guard rails for the underside of the body - these were of course present in the production model. There are no remaining stocks of this model.

It is hoped in the future to run Issue 2 of this model. This will be of the later CM6T Superfast styling which operated on certain CM6T's from 1973 onwards. Models will be available in kit format.
We received orders for the CM6T from places as far flung from Midland Red's home as South Africa and Hong Kong. The CM6T was the first model in our "Midland Red Collection" and we are very pleased at the response from our customers - here's a small but typical selection of quotes:
